Sean Lewis and Elaine Yahne were the top male and female finishers of the inaugural Men In Black Runway Mile Walk/Run on Friday, July 13, at the Huntington Municipal Airport.
Lewis, 19, of Huntington, posted a time of 4:32.5 to outrace the field. Yahne, also 19, of Huntington, clocked in at 5:56.1 to lead the female divisions.
Other top male finishers included Jacob Hall, of Huntington, who finished first in the 12 and under age group with a time of 6:47.4. Brett Krumanaker, of Huntington, placed third.
With Lewis finishing first overall, Douglas Baker, of Huntington, took the top spot in the 13-19 age group, clocking in at 4:42.7. Cordell Lewis and Tyler Brown, both of Huntington, finished second and third, respectively.
Ross Ochs, of Huntington, placed first in the 20-26 age group with a time of 4:37.7. Josh Graham, of Huntington, finished second and Josh McIntyre, also of Huntington, finished third.
Michael McKeighen, of Pierceton, was the top finisher in the 27-33 age group with a clocking of 5:07.2.
Brad Prather, of Roanoke, was the top finisher in the 34-40 age group, posting a time of 4:51.7.
Skip Stinson, of Roanoke, finished first for the 41-47 age group with a time of 6:12.4, and John Miller, of Huntington, did the same for the 55 and over age group, finishing with a time of 18:46.6.
Other top female finishers include Macy Lange, of Huntington, who took the top spot in the 12 and under age group with a time of 7:02.2. Savannah Jones was the runner-up.
Becca Goodman, of Huntington, placed first in the 13-19 age group with a time of 7:24.6. Heather Hippensteel was the runner-up.
Sonja Fussle, of Winona Lake won the 27-33 age group with a 7:16.8 clocking, edging Brandi Krumanaker, of Huntington.
Kim Eckelbarger, of Huntington, was the top finisher in the 34-40 age group, clocking in at 10:35.8. Joetta Byrum was the runner-up.
Cindy Krumanaker, of Huntington, finished first in the 41-47 age group with a time of 10:46.3 and Dianna Wagner, of Columbia City, did the same for the 55 and over age group, finishing at 19:17.0.
In addition to trophies, Lewis, Yahne, Hall and Lange all received vouchers for a 20-minute airplane ride with an experienced pilot for their finishes.
