The Huntington North High School boys' varsity cross country team had a fourth place finish in the 16-team Huntington North Invitational on Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Huntington University cross country course.
Cordell Lewis was the top finisher for HNHS, clocking in at 16:24.9 for seventh place and leading the Vikings to 136 points.
Charlie Mettler finished behind Lewis at 17:07.5 for 21st. Matt Dewitt was 29th in 17:29.4, Tyler Brown was 39th in 17:50.5 and Jacob Miller was 40th in 17:51.2 to complete the Vikings' scoring.
Jacob Ambriole was 43rd in 18:08.1 and Luke Doughty was 48th in 18:21.7 to wrap up the HNHS top seven.
Carroll won the invitational with a score of 38, led by individual champion Jon Harper, who finished in 15:44.9.
After Carroll was Warsaw with a score of 52. Homestead finished third, scoring 92 points.
Huntington North took fourth in the boys' junior varsity division with 112 points. Zach Prather finished 18th in 18:14.5 to pace the Viking JV.
