Tara Boone, of Huntington, has been named head coach of the women's golf program at Manchester University.

Boone served as head coach of the boys' golf team at Manchester High School last year. She helped guide the Squires to a fourth place conference finish and a 40-stroke improvement from the previous season at the sectional championships.

Boone played golf at the University of Indiana and Indiana-Purdue University at Indianapolis, where she placed in the top 30 of the Big 10 championships as a freshman and among the top 15 of the Summit League tournament as a junior.
