Schnitz's fourth strike of game pushes Viking gridders past Logansport in OT

Drew Schnitz's fourth touchdown pass of the game, in overtime, led the Huntington North High School varsity football team to its first win of the season as it topped host Logansport, 26-20, on Friday, Aug. 31.
Schnitz threw a pair of touchdown passes to both Paul Ehler and Caleb Richison as the Vikings improved to 1-2 on the season.
Schnitz completed 10 of 20 passes for 126 yards and was also the Vikings' leading rusher gaining 76 yards on 19 attempts.
Paul Ehler had 51 yards in receptions and Richison had 43 yards in receptions.
The Vikings held a 7-0 lead after the first quarter and were ujp 14-12 at halftime. Logansport, 0-3, pulled into a 20-20 tie after three quarters.
Linebacker Matthew Mounsey and defensive back Braydin Stell tied for the team-lead in tackles, racking up nine apiece. Defensive back Skyler Veilleux recorded seven tackles.
Mounsey and defensive back Taylor Boxell each recovered fumbles for the Vikings and Trenton Kern grabbed an interception.
Schnitz has 10 touchdown passes this season against four interceptions.
