HU volleyball team edges Goshen, 3-2

The Huntington University volleyball team and host Goshen battled over the course of five sets, but it was the Foresters who emerged victorious, 3-2, to get their first win of the season, on Friday, Sept. 14.

Brittany Rooze, Abbey Keister and Heather Medich racked up season-highs in kills for the Foresters, 1-8, with 13, 12 and 11, respectively.

HU and Goshen alternated wins, with the Foresters winning the first set, 27-25, and the third set, 25-22, while the Maple Leafs won the second set, 25-20, and the fourth set, 25-22, before HU clinched the decisive fifth set, 15-13.

Jensen Carnahan was an assist machine, recording 41. Carnahan also had 19 digs, tied for the team-lead with Katie Bowers.
