Underwood's quick strikes lead HU women booters past Bluffton

Lisa Underwood scored two goals less than 20 seconds apart to lead the Huntington University women's soccer team past host Bluffton University, 3-1, on Friday, Sept. 21.

Underwood scored what proved to be the winning goal at the 21:57 mark, giving the Foresters a 2-0 lead. She notched her second goal of the game just 17 seconds later to help the Foresters improve to 8-2 on the season.

The Foresters broke on top when Underwood fed Erin Barclay for the first goal of the game just 2:33 in.

The hosts scored their only goal of the game at the 81-minute mark against back-up goalkeeper Mary Whybrew.

Starting goalie Sam Barclay stopped the only three shots she faced in the first half before getting the rest of the game off.

Underwood's first goal came from inside the box after Bluffton golaie Maggie Armstrong stop Brittany Hartman's shot. Then the HU senior nailed one from the top of the box just 17 seconds later.
