The Huntington North High School boys' varsity cross country team placed ninth out of 22 teams with a score of 272 at the New Haven Classic on Saturday, Sept. 22.
Cordell Lewis was the top finisher for the Vikings at 16:46.91, good for 22nd place among scoring runners.
Charlie Mettler was second for Huntington North at 17:01.67 and 31st overall. Jacob Ambriole finished in 17:29.84 for 59th, Matt Dewitt clocked in at 17:42.32 for 74th and Luke Doughty crossed the finish line in 17:53.02 for 86th to round out the scoring for the Vikings.
Jacob Miller finished in 18:01.97 for 96th and Cam Dewitt finished in 18:07.38 for 104th to complete the varsity team.
Carroll won the invitational with a score of 38.
Central Noble's Ryan Smith was the individual champion at 15:50.10.
