Viking booters' comeback falls short

The Huntington North High School boys soccer team came up a goal shot in its comeback attempt and fell to host Marion, 4-3, on Tuesday, Sept. 25.

The Vikings, 8-4-1, were down 4-1 after the first half, but got goals from Barik Hiple and Tyler Henline to make it a close contest.

Isaac Wust, who got his 21st goal of the season in the first half afdter Marion built a 4-0 lead, assisted on both second half goals for HNHS.

Viking goalie Chad Wingo had eight saves on the afternoon.

Huntington North won the junior varsity contest, 3-0, behind two Jordan Hersey goals.
Nathan Park had the remaining HNHS goal, and Jacob Vinson had an assist as the Viking JV improved to 5-6-1 on the season.
