Rylan Porter placed third individually to lead the Huntington University men's golf team to a fifth place finish on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Battle of Blackhorn at Bethel College.

Porter fired a 1-over par 145 over Monday and Tuesday to earn his third place honors and help HU to a team total of 623. Porter shot an even-par 72 on Monday and followed it up with a 73 on Tuesday.

Mickey Belt and Devin Dale both scored 158 and Josh Tuelker fired a 162 to complete the HU scoring.

Marian won the title with a 593, followed by Ashford in second with a 598, Holy Cross third with a 611 and Bethel in fourth with a 620.

Lance Hoch was non-scorer for HU with a 164.
