Mt. Vernon uses second-half scores to down HU soccermen

Host Mt. Vernon Nazarene University got the only goals of the second half to break a 1-1 halftime tie and down the Huntington University men's soccer team 3-1 on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Tyson Balischuk's goal at the the 19-minute mark for Huntington tied the score at 1-all, and the teams went into the half with the deadlock. But Mt. Vernon tallied just five minutes into the second half to break the knot, and added an insurance goal 71 minutes in to send the Foresters to their fourth loss of the season against five wins and two ties.
Josh Codd got the assist on the HU goal.
Goalie Drew Mattingly recorded five saves.
