HU spikers' comeback attempt falls short at USF

The Huntington University volleyball team's comeback attempt against host Saint Francis fell short on Wednesday, Oct. 10.

The Foresters lost the first two games, 16-25, 15-25, before battling back to win the third game, 25-18. The team battled once more in the fourth game, but the contest ended in a narrow 23-25 defeat, and the match ended in a 1-3 Huntington loss.

The team's record stands at 4-16 on the season and 2-9 in Crossroads League play.

Brittany Rooze was the offensive leader for the Foresters, notching 14 kills, and also chipped in on defense, recording 10 digs.

Katie Bowers put up big defensive numbers, with 34 digs, and Codie Morey dished out 41 assists.
