Viking boys and girls win regional cross country crowns

Semi-states at New Haven next Saturday, Oct. 20

Both the Huntington North High School boys' and girls' cross country teams won the Marion regional on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Indiana Wesleyan University.

The Huntington North girls used four finishers in the top eight on the way to scoring 42 points, 71 less than runner-up Eastbrook.

Bellmont placed third, Northfield fourth and Norwell fifth to complete the list of schools advancing to next week's New Haven semi-state.

The Huntington North boys squeaked past South Adams by just three points, 73-76.

Northfield placed third, Oak Hill was fourth and Fort Wayne South Side got the fifth and final spot to move on to semi-state.

Semi-state is next Saturday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m.
