Three HU women bowlers in top 25 at Boilermaker Classic

Three members of the Huntington University women's bowling team finished in the top 25 individually out of the 172 bowlers at the Boilermaker Classic at Mike Aulby's Arrowhead Bowl in Lafayette on Saturday, Oct. 27, and Sunday, Oct. 28, to spur the team to a seventh place finish out of 16 teams.
Casandra Griffith averaged a 182.2 in the five regular team games on Saturday to lead the Foresters and finish 15th individually. Ayla Yeiter averaged a 182.2, Emily O'Leary averaged a 179.6 and the two finished 22nd and 25th, respectively, to complete Huntington's trio in the top 25.
Tiffany Walther averaged 164 for four games and Eleni Newsome maintained 146 for two games.
Huntington entered play on Sunday in seventh place after rolling a 4,340 in five team games on Saturday. The team maintained its seventh placing standing by rolling a 2,787 in Sunday's Baker games for a two-day total of 7,127.
Lindenwood University won the tournament with a score of 7,991
