HU volleyball team loses spirited finale to Spring Arbor

The Huntington University volleyball team dropped its first two sets to host Spring Arbor University before claiming the third and coming close to winning the fourth on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to end the season with a spirited defeat.

The 10-25, 20-25, 26-24, 24-26 loss completes the Foresters' record at 4-23 and 2-15 in the Crossroads League.

Huntington got a balanced offensive effort, with Melissa Grossman producing 10 kills and Heather Medich and Brittany Rooze accounting for nine and eight, respectively.

Codie Morey did a little bit of everything as she led the team in assists, with 30, and blocks, with four, and added four kills on five swings.

Katie Bowers was the standout on defense, scraping up 13 digs.
