Foresters sign second Columbia City recruit
Monday, November 5, 2012 8:51 AM
The Huntington University men's basketball team went back to Columbia City for its second recruit of the year.
The Foresters, who signed Columbia City guard Drew Benedict earlier this fall, got a commitment from his Eagle teammate Daniel Woll to continue his basketball career as a Forester this coming fall.
As a junior, the 6-6 senior forward did a little bit everything for the Eagles. He averaged 10.4 points, a team-high 6.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 blocks per outing and for his efforts earned numerous honors and awards, which included being named Northeast Hoosier Second Team All-Conference. Woll was also invited to the IBCA Top 100 Workout.
"We are very excited that Daniel is a Forester," says Head Coach Ty Platt. "Daniel is exactly the type of person and player we look for in an HU basketball player.
"He is a good athlete, good shooter, can play inside and outside, and is a good rebounder. His potential is unlimited. Without question, Daniel is going to have an outstanding career."
