HU women harriers heading to nationals

The Huntington University women's cross country team won the Crossroads League championship at Indiana Wesleyan University, in Marion, on Saturday, Nov. 3, to punch its ticket to the NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships in Vancouver, WA, on Nov. 17.
It's the fourth time in Forester history that the women's cross country team won the conference championship and the first time its made the NAIA National Championships, as a team, since 2002.
Huntington claimed the top three spots, with Cendall Ogle finishing first in a personal record time of 18:35. Gretchen Spahr took second in 18:45.07 while Hannah Moore placed third in a personal record time of 18:45.74. All three Foresters earned a spot on the all-league team.
Krista Wood paced 23rd in 19:37 and Erin Rockey snagged 35th in 19:56 to round out the team's scoring at 60.
Natalie Spahr finished 38th in 20:00, Miranda Boyts was 41st in a personal record time of 20:07, Amanda Henningfield placed 56th in 20:34 and Alyssa Haselby crossed the finish line in 22:34 for 107th to complete the team.
After the Foresters, Taylor University finished with 66 points and Spring Arbor University had 99.
