Short pours in 29 as Foresters win first

TJ Short poured in 29 points to lead the Huntington University men's basketball team to an 85-75 win over host Great Lakes Christian College on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Shane Merryman added 20 points as the Foresters got their first win of the season against one loss.
The Foresters scored 13 less field goals than the hosts but made hay at the free-throw line, where they hit 39 of 49 for 79.5 percent while Great Lakes only scored four points at the stripe.
Short went 11 of 13 at the line and Merryman hit 10 of 12 to lead the way for HU, which hit 21 of 46 from the field for 45.6 percent.
Colin Featherston had a perfect shooting night for HU, hitting 3 of 3 from the field and all four of his free throws, on the way to 11 points off the bench.
Stephen Jones had three steals and Tyler Arrowsmith had three blocks for HU.
Devin Jefferson and Maurice Jordan each had 14 points to lead Great Lakes.
