Viking boy bowlers lose season-opener

The Huntington North High School boys' varsity bowling team lost to Norwell in its first match of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Portland.
Tyler Krepp won the Vikings' lone point in the first game, beating his opponent 212-141. Jon Scott rolled a 170, Adam Harris-Shoemaker tallied 168, Zac Tackett followed with 167 and A.J. Bickel had a 123.
Scores were higher in the second match, but the Vikings still fell to the Knights, 11-9. Tackett rolled a 226, Trent Kline recorded a 203, Scott made 200, Harris-Shoemaker had a 193 and Krepp followed with 192.
In JV action, Huntington North dropped both of its games to Bellmont. In the first game, Robert Shomo achieved a 147, Cole Boyd scored a 140 and Kyle Wallenburg and Chad Kramer each tallied 123.
Shomo had the Vikings' only point in the second game, on a score of 190. Boyd rolled a 164, Kramer had 142 and Wallenburg followed with 120.
