Huntington University announces streaming of Forester sports this year
Monday, November 12, 2012 7:22 AM
The Huntington University Athletic Department announces the launch of a digital video network dedicated to streaming Forester sports.
The network was launched on Nov. 9, and will be the home for live broadcasts of men and women's basketball games.
Games can be accessed via the online HU basketball schedules or by going directly to www.ihigh.com/husn.
HU students from the communication department will provide the manpower to handle all aspects of the game-day streaming process which includes an on-site producer, videographer and audio color and commentary.
"This is an exciting endeavor that we are beginning," states Athletic Director Lori Culler. "Not only will it provide our families, friends, alumni and fans an opportunity to follow our basketball teams from a distance, but it will also provide our broadcasting and communications majors a great opportunity to enhance their resumes with hands-on experience in their field of study."
Huntington joins Bethel, Grace, Indiana Wesleyan, Marian, Mount Vernon, Saint Francis, Spring Arbor and Taylor as Crossroads Leagues teams with iHigh video-streaming capability.
