Forester women harriers 20th at nationals

The Huntington University women's cross country team placed 20th out of 32 teams in the 2012 NAIA National Cross Country Championships at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, WA, on Saturday, Nov. 17.

The Foresters finished with 510 points. Sophomore Gretchen Spahr paced Huntington, finishing in 19:09 for 47th place overall.

Cendall Ogle was the second Forester to cross the finish line, doing so in 19:40, taking 84th place. Krista Wood was 122nd in 20:08, Natalie Spahr grabbed 125th in 20:11 and Hannah Moore placed 132nd in 20:18 to round out the team's scoring.

Erin Rockey finished in 20:27 for 148th place and Miranda Boyts completed the race in 21:02 for 172nd to complete the team.

British Colombia University won the race with a score of 98. College of Idaho was second with 112 points and Olivet Nazarene was third with 133 points.

Hillary Holt, a junior from the College of Idaho, won the individual titdle with a time of 17:00, 20 seconds better than runner-up Sharon Ronoh of Lindsey Wilson. Karlee Coffey of Eastern Oregon was third in 17:29.
