Frosh Faurote leads Lady Viking bowlers to opening victory

Freshman Mackenzie Faurote led the Huntington North High School girls' varsity bowling team to a dominant season-opening win over South Adams, 20-0, in Portland on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Faurote was the high bowler in each of the two games, rolling a 227 in the first and a 244 in the second.

The Lady Vikes, 1-0, beat the Starfires, 901-596, in the first game. Lauren Smart tallied a 184, Alex Rittenhouse recorded a 183, Megan Manes had a 162 and Ashley Clark followed with a 145.

In the second game, Huntington North beat South Adams 912-499. Susanna Vining totaled a 189, followed by Rittenhouse's 176, Clark's 155 and Smart's 148.

In junior varsity action, the Lady Vikings fell to Bluffton, 16-2. Kaitlyn Conley rolled a 210 and a 150 and Kylie Kiser had a 195 and a 157 to lead the team.
