HNHS boy bowlers knock down South Adams

The Huntington North High School boys' varsity bowling team defeated South Adams, 17-3, in Decatur on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Senior Tyler Krepp led the Vikings in the first game with a match-high 232. Adam Harris-Shoemaker followed with a 197, AJ Bickel rolled a 187, Trent Kline tallied a 178 and Zac Tackett had a 171 for a total of 970 to South Adams' 653. Huntington North won all five games and got the five-pont bonus for pinfall.

In the second game, Tackett rolled a 226, followed by Krepp's 197, Bickel's 184, Shoemaker's 152 and Kline's 145. The Vikings lost three out of five games, but knocked over the most pins, defeating the Starfires, 904-807, to gain another five points.

In junior action, Huntington North defeated South Adams, 16-2.

Robert Shomo paced the Vikings in the first game with a 160, followed by Cole Boyd's 144, Chad Kramer's 140 and Kyle Wallenburg's 131. The team won three out of four games and had the most pins to build an 8-1 lead.

Huntington North won three out of four games again in the second game, as Boyd led with a 157, followed by Kramer's 153, Shomo's 152 and Wallenburg's 132.
