Six pins helped carry the Huntington North High School varsity wrestling team to a 48-30 win over host Logansport on Thursday, Nov. 29.

Earning six-point wins for the Vikings were sophomore Alex Beal at 126 pounds, junior Kyle Jolas at 145, seniors Sebastian Eckert and Sean Reynolds at 152 and 160, respectively, freshman Chandler Updike at 171 and sophomore Layne Emery at 195.

Sophomore Tanner Shipley earned a 3-0 win at 132, Josh Danals at 220 was a 7-2 winner and heavyweight Shawn Renz earned a forfeit win.

Three of the five HNHS losses came due to forfeit, at 106, 113 and 120. Ian Hiers was disqualified at 138, and Clayton Carmichael at 182 lost by pin.

In junior varsity action, freshman Bailey Shockome won at 138 by a 4-2 count.
