Allison Greene came of the bench to score 14 points and lead the Huntington University women's basketball team past Calumet College, 59-44, in the first round of the St. Xavier Holiday Tournament on Thursday, Dec. 27.

Sarah Miller-Jennings added 12 points for HU, 9-3.

The Foresters built a 32-26 halftime lead.

Pazia Speed scored nine points and Amelia Recker added eight for HU, which shot 22 of 56 from the field for 39.3 percent and hit 12 of 14 free throw tries for 85.7 percent.

Karina Robinson scored 11 points for Calumet, 5-9. Rebecca Dill added 10 points.

Speed also had nine rebounds and four asissts to lead HU in both of those departments.
Lauren Meese added eight rebounds as HU built a 39-28 advantage on the backboards.

Calumet hit 17 of 50 shots from the field for 34 percent for the game, and hit 5 of 6 free throws for 83.3 percent.
