HAHE Eagles 3-1 in recent volleyball efforts

The Varsity Huntington Lady Eagles volleyball team has played in four matches in the last two weeks.

The first was against the W.A.C.H.E. Warriors of Bluffton on Aug. 28.

The Lady Eagles lost in three games, 21-25, 21-25 and 19-25.

Marina Stoffel led the defense with 29 digs, and Rebecca Daniels added 22 digs and 10 blocks.

Kaleigh Shultz had 10 assists to lead the offense.

The Lady Eagles next went to Indianapolis on Aug. 31 to face the Wabash Valley Warriors. They won 3-1.

Stoffel had 35 digs, with Daniels adding 32.
Shultz had 18 assists and Daniels had 12 kills.

The next match was on Sept. 1 at Concordia Seminary against the Fort Wayne Falcons. The Lady Eagles won again 3-1.

Stoffel and Daniels led the defense with 39 and 35 digs apiece, respectively. Shultz added 16 blocks and 19 assists.

The last match was against Emmanuel Christian of Wabash for the second time this sea-son on Sept. 4 The Lady Eagles won 3-2.

Daniels had a big all-around effort with 17 kills, 18 blocks and 39 digs. Dana Stoffel and Marina Stoffel each had 34 digs.

Kelsey Featherston served 13 aces. Shultz had 18 assists.
