Saint Francis beats up on lackluster HU women, 65-42

The Huntington University women's basketball team had its most lackluster offensive performance of the season and fell to host Saint Francis, 65-42, on Saturday, Jan. 19.
The Foresters, 13-8, 5-5 in Crossroads League play, connected on only 14 of 58 attempts from the field for 24.1 percent, and even though they hit 11 of 12 free throw tires for 91.7 percent, still wound up with their lowest point total of the season.
Huntington was in a 30-15 hole at the half that got even deeper in the second, with Saint Francis surging ahead by as many as 26 with 9:17 to go in the contest. The Cougars hit 22 of 49 shots in the game for 44.9 percent.
Allison Greene's nine points led the Foresters, followed Pazia Speed's eight and Taylor Foley's seven.
Kayla Drake paced Saint Francis, 20-2, 9-1, with 18.
Lauren Meese and Amelia Recker each grabbed six rebounds for HU.
