The Huntington North High School boys' varsity basketball team shot for over 60 percent and blasted visiting Northfield, 78-41, on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Noah Reed went a perfect 7 for 7 and scored a game-high 19 points for the Vikings, 9-8.
Trenton Kern and Kalvin Miller had hot hands as well, as Kern tossed in 5 of 6 shots for 12 points and Miller camped out in three-point land, where he made 4 of 6 shots for 12 points.
Huntington North had a 28-16 lead on Northfield at the half before shooting for 73 percent in the second half and outscoring the Norsemen 50-25. For the game, the Vikings went 30 for 49 and shot for 61.2 percent.
Marcus Kroh led the Norsemen with 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting. Kroh's teammates lacked his shooting touch as Northfield finished the game shooting 25 percent on a 12 for 47 performance.
The Huntington North junior varsity defeated Northfield, 49-37.
Jordan Seabolt and Konner Platt paced the Vikings with 13 and 10 points, respectively.
