Lady Vikes lose halftime lead and regular-season finale to CC

A halftime lead for the Huntington North High School girls' varsity basketball team over host Columbia City evaporated in the second half and the Lady Vikings suffered a defeat in their regular season finale, 53-49.
Huntington North, 5-15, went into the half leading 27-23, but Columbia City, 8-14, outpaced the Lady Vikings by eight points in the third quarter to seize the lead, 38-34. Huntington North tried to make up the deficit in the game's final frame, but Columbia City matched the Lady Viking's 15 points with 15 of its own to secure the win.
Lindsey Foster's 14 points led Huntington North, followed by Kelsey Hollowell's season-high 11. Allyson Trout headed the team's effort on the boards with seven and also scored as many points.
Megan Deutsch and Macie Hinen had hot scoring hands for the Lady Eagles, going a combined 9 for 14 for 15 and 12 points, respectively. Hinen also pulled down 10 rebounds.
