Huntington North High School wrestler Sebastian Eckert officially placed eighth at 152 pounds at the Indiana State Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Eckert, a senior, lost to Nick Borta of North Montgomery, 10-4, in the match for seventh place at Bankers' Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Eckert finished his season at 34-9.

Eckert went 0-3 on the day, losing to eventual champion Josh Farrell of Greenfield Central in the quarterfinals before falling to Jackson Bennett of Hamilton Southeastern and Borta in the consolation brackets.

He had advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Kody Henshaw of Evansville on Friday, Feb. 15, in opening round action.

Farrell nipped Vinny Corsaro of Indianapolis Cathedral, 3-2, in the championship match to complete an undefeated 48-0 season.

Isaiah Bradley of Muncie Southside placed third and Conner Brummett of DeKalb was fourth.
