A visit to Summit on Monday, Feb. 11, yielded losses for both Blue Racer swimming teams, with the boys' team falling 142-132 and the girls' team losing 197-89.

First-place finishers were Corbin Cozad for the boys in the 100-yard backstroke and Emma Helmich for the girls in the 50-yard butterfly.

Swimming to second-place finishes for the boys' team, 0-2, were Chase McCann in the 200-yard freestyle; Paul Helmich in the 400-yard freestyle; the 200-yard medley relay team of Helmich, Cozad, Cody Barton and Hale Bowen; Jacob Koons, Kevin King, Pryce Whisenhunt and McCann on the 200-yard freestyle relay team; and the 300-yard freestyle relay team comprised of Bowen, Helmich, Cozad and Barton.

On the girls' team, 0-1-1, second-place finishers were Helmich in the 100-yard individual medley; Lexi Miller in the 100-yard breaststroke; Macy Lange, Alexandria Short, Helmich and Miller on the 200-yard medley relay team; and the 300-yard freestyle relay team of Emma Gordon, Short, Helmich and Lange.
