Johnson, Anderson pace Crestview 7 girls' hoop win

Two players scored in double figures for the Crestview Middle School girls' seventh grade basketball team and helped beat Columbia at Logansport, 42-22, on Wednesday, Feb. 20.

Rileigh Johnson and Hollyn Anderson each scored 12 points for the Cougars, 14-4. Megan Gilpin contributed eight points to the team's cause and Karmen Koch tallied four.

Koch and Peyton Butler tied for the team lead in rebounds with five, while Anderson dished out as many assists, which was the team-high.

The eighth grade team trounced Columbia, 38-13.

Aubrie Eckert led Crestview, 10-8, with eight points and five rebounds. Kylie Kaylor, Madison Houser and Ariene Butler each chipped in six points to the team's offensive effort.

Butler also came up big on defense, making six steals.
