The Huntington University men's track and field team tallied 74 points in the Fred Wilt Memorial Indoor Invitational at Anderson University on Saturday, Feb. 23, propelling it to a second-place finish out of 15 teams.

Daniel DeBoni and Ethan Medley captured first-place finishes for the Foresters, as the former won the 200-meter dash with a new personal record of 23.08 and the latter took the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:31.58.

Huntington runners swept places two through four in the 1,000-meter run, with Matt Bittner finishing in 2:46.34, Seth Murphy in 2:48.31 and Isaiah Laatsch in 2:55.27.

Logan Knox claimed fourth in shot put with a toss of 43-09.00, just ahead of his brother, Lukas Knox, who landed in fifth with a throw of 43-08.50, a personal record, good for eighth-place in the Huntington record books.

Lukas edged his brother in the weight throw on the strength of another career-setting toss, this one for 46-03.25, which earned him third. Logan placed fourth with a 45-10.50.

Also scoring points for the Foresters was Alan Huffman, who ran to a third-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:58.98.

Wabash won the invitational with 141.16 points. Franklin finished a distant third behind Huntington with 47 points.
