HU trackmen also fourth at own invite

The Huntington University men's track and field team finished fourth out of seven teams at the Huntington University Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, April 6.

Logan Knox was an individual champion for the Foresters, capturing first place in the hammer throw with a heave of 44.27 meters.

Another key contributor to Huntington's 83-point tally was Daniel DeBoni, who took second in the 100 and 200-meter dashes in :11.14 and :22.98, respectively.

Grabbing third-place finishes were Jake Nash with a leap of 1.93 meters in high jump, Logan Knox with a throw of 13.02 meters in shot put and Lukas Knox with a toss of 39.80 meters in the hammer throw.

Other Forester points came from Lukas Knox's fourth in discus at 41.83 meters, the 400-meter relay team's fourth in :44.35, Levy Francois' fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in :16.13, Ethan Medley's fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:51.36 and Jacob Stone's fifth in pole vault at 4.15 meters.

Also, Scott Skiles' sixth in the 400-meter dash in :52.32, Bryan Myers' sixth in the hammer throw at 34.72 meters, Alan Huffman's seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:09.83, Alec Rosasio's eighth in the same event in 11:37.58, Brandon Hunt's eighth in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.63, Josh Graham's ninth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:17.00, Lance Wood's 10th in the 5,000-meter run in 16:12.06 and the 1,600-meter relay team's 10th in 3:48.12.

Indiana Wesleyan University won the invitational with 201 points. Spring Arbor University came in second with 153 points and Manchester University was third with 92.5 points.
