Knights ace two-hits Vikings in 5-0 loss

The Huntington North High School varsity baseball team was held to just two hits by Norwell ace Luke Hunter and lost to the visiting Knights, 5-0, on Tuesday, April 9.
The Knights, 6-1, scored a pair of runs in the first and fourth innings and added an insurance tally in the seventh to send the Vikings to their second defeat in six outings.
Heaston Schwob and Derek Snyder got the HNHS safeties off of Hunter, 3-0, who struck out seven and did not allow a walk.
Braydin Stell, 1-1, took the loss for HNHS, yielding four runs, three earned, on six hits with three strikeouts and three walks in four innings. Matt Hogan pitched the final three frames for the Vikings, yielding one earned run on two hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
Jacob Meyer led Norwell with a 3 for 3 days at the plate. Tailur Szarenski had two hits.
