Erin Rethlake surrendered just one hit to DeKalb while punching out a season-high 19 to help the Huntington North High School varsity softball team blank the visiting Lady Barons 7-0 on Thursday, April 25.

Kaylynn Rosen had the big stick for the Lady Vikings, 7-0, smacking her second home run of the year and knocking in two runs during a 2 for 3 night at the plate.

Makayla Whaley and Maddi Kennedy each pounded out three hits and Audrey Hiner and Natasha Grover both paired two with an RBI.

Huntington North scored a run in the second before plating three in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the sixth.

The shutout was Rethlake's third in as many games and the junior has allowed only two hits in that timeframe.

The Lady Vikings had 15 hits for the contest and six stolen bases.
