HU trackwomen seventh at Crossroads meet

The Huntington University women's track team totaled 40 points to place seventh at the Crossroads League Track and Field Championships at King Track and Field Stadium in Huntington on Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27.

Cendall Ogle was one of three Forester women to earn All-Conference honors. She turned in a second place finish in the 1,500-meter run with a personal record of 4:47.40, the fifth-fastest time in program history, and then earned her team another point in the 5,000 meters by finishing eighth in 19:04.00.

Gretchen Spahr clocked an 18:22.94 in the 5,000-meter run, good for second place and her second all-conference honor. Krista Wood was Huntington's other all-conference honoreer running a personal best 11:53.16 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to clinch third.

Other point-getters for Huntington included Hannah Moore in the 5,000 meters, seventh in 19:03.06; Holly Lutton in the 100-meter hurdles, seventh in :16.86; and Brianna Gregory in the 100-meter dash, sixth in :13.33, and long jump, seventh in 15-9.25.

Taylor edged past the Pilots for the conference title with 202 points followed by Bethel's 197.5, Indiana Wesleyan's 144, Spring Arbor's 98.5, Marian's 90.5, Grace's 42.5, Huntington's 40, Goshen's three and Saint Francis' one.
