Alyssa Hiple smacked a home run and Erin Rethlake extended her scoreless streak to eight appearances as the Huntington North High School varsity softball team defeated host Norwell 10-0 on Thursday, May 2.

Rethlake pitched all five innings, yielding only one hit while fanning 10.

The southpaw hasn't allowed a run since facing Carroll on April 18.

The homer was Hiple's second of the season and the junior went 2 for 3 at the plate with two runs batted in and as many runs scored.

The Lady Vikings, 13-1, scored a run in the first inning before piling on seven in the third and two more in the fourth, taking the game to its final register.

Rethlake helped her own cause by collecting a trio of hits, plating three and crossing home twice. Natasha Grover had two pokes and as many RBI and Cassie Lange brought home two as well. Maddi Kennedy had the team's other RBI.
