Crestview soccergirls second at Leo Invite

The Crestview Middle School girls' soccer team beat Blackhawk, 6-3, in the first round of the Leo Invitational Soccer Tournament on Saturday, May 4, but got blanked by Leo in the championship match, 4-0, finishing second.

Hollyn Anderson supplied a pair of goals for the Cougars against Blackhawk, with Aubrey Eckert, Bri Bates, Jo Neal and Emily Johnson each netting one in the victory. Janessa Dodson and Emmy Ottinger had assists.

Neal, also playing as goalkeeper, recorded 10 saves.

Eckert relieved an ailing Neal in goal against Leo, making 22 stops, but the Crestview offense couldn't get going, giving the Lions the shutout win.
