Golf fund-raiser for United Way Saturday, July 6, at Etna Acres Golf Course
Wednesday, July 3, 2013 7:54 AM
Etna Acres Golf Course will host a fund-raiser for the United Way of Huntington County on Saturday, July 6.
Golfers who come through the par-3 eighth hole between 8 a.m. and noon will have the option to make a donation to the United Way campaign.
Those making cash donations will receive a discount for merchandise purchased at the Etna Acres pro shop that day.
If a golfer's tee shot stays on the green, he or she will win an immediate prize to be selected at the tee.
A closest to the pin contest will be held, with the winner receiving a new Callaway putter donated by Etna Acres Golf Club.
If the golfer missed the green, he or she will receive a coupon for a bucket of range balls.
Hole sponsor for the day is First Federal Savings Bank. Prize sponsors include Etna Acres Golf Club, Teachers Credit Union, Miami Tool & Die and United Way of Huntington County.
Similar contests will be held Aug. 10 at LaFontaine Golf Club and Aug. 31 at Norwood Golf Club.
