Dydasco dazzles on gridiron as Crestview eighth-graders batter Belllmont

Charleston Dydasco scored four touchdowns as the Crestview Middle School eighth grade football team toppled Bellmont 50-16 on Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Three of Dydasco's scores were rushing, and one was a pass from quarterback Skyler Veilleiux. Dydasco also had an extra point, and had six carries for a total of 166 yards.

Veilleiux also had a touchdown, and completed a two-point conversion pass to Jerin Taylor. Mark Hoover and Kyle Jolas each had one touchdown, and Jolas had four extra points.

On defense, Taylor had seven tackles, and Skyler and Tyler Veilleiux each had five tackles. Cole Ray had a fumble recovery. Sixteen different Crestview players recorded tackles Tuesday night.

Bellmont edged Crestview Middle's seventh grade football team 28-20.

Ricky Wedlake scored a 50-yard touchdown off a pass interception, Colt Repp had a 12-yard run for a touchdown, Jordan Seabolt had a 60-yard run for a touchdown and Corbin Clarke had a successful two-point conversion.

The team's next game will be at Marion Justice Middle School on Oct. 15.
