Lady Vike booters lose early lead, game to Canterbury

An early lead didn't hold up for the Huntington North High School girls' varsity soccer team as it fell to visiting Canterbury, 4-2, on Thursday, Aug. 25.

Junior Corinne Tester and freshman Bailey Martin each had a goal and an assist as the Lady Vikings, 1-1, took a 2-0 lead in the first half, but Canterbury's Sydney Colby struck for her of her three goals and Reagan West also tallied as the visitors took a 3-2 lead into halftime.

Crosby's last goal was the only score of the second half.

Tester scored the first HNHS goal off an assist from Martin, then the junior returned the favor as Martin scored her third goal of the season.

HNHS goalie Paige Coolman had 18 saves for the day.
