HN netboys lose 2-3 to Adams Central

The Huntington North High School boys' varsity tennis team was on the wrong end of a 2-3 decision as it fell to visiting Adams Central on Monday, Aug. 26.
Senior Wyatt Nave gutted out a three-set win over Erick Ripley for one of the two HNHS wins, and the number two doubles team of Andrew Smith and Nick May accounted for the other home win.
The Vikings are 0-5 on the season.
Nave and Ripley each won sets by the count of 6-3, but Nave stepped it up in the final set and won 6-0.
Smith, a senior, and May, a freshman, took a 6-2, 6-2 decision from Nate Timmons and Jared Lehman.
Tommy Bolinger at first singles fell to Jacob Weil, 1-6, 0-6, and Cameron Buzzard at third singles fell to Andy Oliver, 5-7, 3-6.
Senior Matt Sieberns and sophomore Graham Sereno lost at first doubles to Ben Kaehr and Conner Lengerich, 0-6, 3-6.
The Vikings won the junior varsity match, 6-4, to improve to 3-2 on the season. Wins came from singles players Nathan Lundy and Hunter Phillips and the doubles teams of Tyler Gates and Cameron Stuttle, which had two wins; Matt York and Brent Krieger and Mo Phillips and Lundy.
