Singles sweep leads HNHS netboys to first win

The Huntington North High School boys' varsity tennis team swept all three singles matches on the way to defeating host Bluffton, 4-1, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, for its first win of the season.
Senior Tommy Bolinger at first singles beat Mitchell Drew, 6-3, 6-3, and fellow senior Wyatt Nave took down Hunter Stoller, 6-4, 6-3. Cameron Buzzard, also a senior, topped Grant Prible at third singles, 6-3, 6-2, to wrap up the singles domination.
Helping the Vikings improve to 1-5 on the season was the number two doubles team of senior Andrew Smith and freshman Nick May, which posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Reggie Garrett and Aaron Stugeon.
The Vikings' first doubles team of senior Matt Sieberns and junior Graham Sereno lost a three-setter to Jake Garrett and Collin Barker.
The Huntington North junior varsity lost 2-5. Singles player Tyler Gates beat Brian Dotterer, 8-2, and the doubles team of Nathan Lundy and Cameron Stuttle best Alex Miller and Levi Eisenhut, 8-6.
The Vikes' JV is now 3-3.
