Cutting wins third county golf amateur tournament

Lee Cutting won the Huntington County Amateur Golf Tournament on Sunday, Aug. 25, posting a two-round total of 139.

Cutting becomes a three-time champion of the tournament with the win.

The tournament was played at Norwood Golf Club, in Huntington, on Saturday, Aug. 24, and at Etna Acres Golf Club, in Andrews, on Sunday.

Last year's champion, Todd Stoffel, fired a 153 to take runner-up honors.

Ed Tackett's 161 was good for third.

In the first flight division, Robert Marsh was champion with a 177, narrowly edging Neil Kline, who carded a 178.

Sam Wright won the senior division with a 156, just ahead of runner-up Jeff Bosler's 158.

Dan Bickel shot a 156 to win the super senior division and Al Shockley submitted a 163 to finish runner-up.
