Forester women waste strong goalie performance in loss
Thursday, August 29, 2013 1:26 PM
A strong goalkeeping performance by junior Mary Whybrew went to waste as the Huntington University women's soccer team couldn't get going on offense and eventually lost in overtime to host Aquinas College, 1-0, on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
Whybrew made 13 saves for the Foresters, 0-2, who managed just two shots on goal to the Saints' 14.
Aquinas finally slipped one past Whybrew a little over six and a half minutes into the extra period on a shot by Allison VanPatten, who was assisted by Elizabeth Vaughn.
Kaitlyn Dreman and Becca Grimes accounted for Huntington's pair of shots of goal.
