Taylor drops HU women netters

The Huntington University women' tennis team was dropped hard by visiting Taylor University , 2-7, on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
The Foresters' number one singles player, Cassie Kasicki, and their number three doubles team of Ciara Smith and Stacie Cressman got the only HU wins of the day.
Kasicki defeated Kim Henke, 6-3, 6-3, and Smith and Cressman beat Kelsey Chow and Tara Gnagy, 9-7.
Huntington drops to 1-2 overall , 1-1 in Crossroads League play.
Celine Rongos at second singles lost to Katherine Marquez, 5-7, 0-6; Katie Johnson at third singles lost to Cassie Fleming, 0-6, 1-6; Jessica Abel at fourth singles fell to Sarah Smith, 1-6, 3-6; Smith at fifth singles lost to Chow, 0-6; 0-6; and Cressman lost to Gnagy, 2-6, default.
Kasicki and Johnson at first doubles lost to Henke and Marquez, 4-8, and Rongos and Abel at second dobules took at 2-8 defeat at the hands of Rachel Kammer and Fleming.
