HU women booters have chances, but fall to Indiana Tech
Thursday, September 5, 2013 6:26 PM
The Huntington University women's soccer team had plenty of chances to score on host Indiana Tech, but Warrior keeper Jordan Roell thwarted every one of them to help send the Foresters to a 1-0 defeat on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
Roell went the distance in goal for Indiana Tech, recording 14 saves. Huntington, 1-4, got a strong goalkeeping performance as well, as Caitlin Adams made nine stops.
The Warriors' Tori Singstock, however, managed to slip a shot past Adams at the 25:44 mark in the first half for the what would turn out to be the game's only score.
Indiana Tech took 28 shots on goal to Huntington's 18, though only 10 of them were on goal, as compared to 14 for the Foresters.
