Wednesday, September 11, 2013 11:05 AM
Host Wawasee made a two-goal first half lead stand up as it beat the Huntington North High School boys' varsity soccer team, 4-2, on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
The hosts scored two more times in the second half to go up 4-0 on the Vikings, 2-5-1, but HNHS tallied twice after that to cut the margin to its final resting place.
Sacha Thirion tallied the Vikings' first goal off a feed from Tyler Henline, then Trey Sorg found the back of the net off a feed from Aaron Webb.
Goalkeeper Chad Wingo took the loss despite making 12 saves on the afternoon.
