HU women netters fall to Marian

The Huntington University women's tennis team lost to host Marian, 3-6, on Friday, Sept. 20.

The Foresters' No. 1 doubles team of Cassie Kasicki and Morgan Bemisderfer registered an 8-5 win over Brittney Horlacher and Hannah Knust, and Bemisderfer made it a two-win day with a 6-3, 1-2 (retired) win at third singles over Sarah Potter.

Celine Rongos at second singles defeated Knust, 6-4, 6-4, for the Foresters' other win.

Kasicki at first singles lost to Horlacher, 3-6, 4-6, and Katie Johnson at fourth singles took a 1-6, 1-6 loss to Lauren Paras. Jessica Abel at fifth singles was blanked by Olivia Pursell, 0-6, 0-6, and Ciara Smith at sixth singles lost 1-6, 0-6, to Anna Potter.

Rongos and Johnson at second doubles lost to Parsas and Pursell and Abel and Stacie Cressman at third doubles fell to Sarah Potter and Anna Potter.
