Lady Vikes' second half splurge dumps Muncie Central

After a 1-1 first half, the Huntington North High School girls' varsity soccer team went off for three goals in the second to beat host Muncie Central 4-1 on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Offensive standouts Bailey Martin and Corinne Tester were behind the second half scoring surge, with Martin scoring twice and Tester once to improve the Lady Vikings' record to 9-4-1, 2-2 in the North Central Conference.

Tester's goal was her 14th of the season, the team-high, while Martin's second raised her total to 12 scores for the year.

Aly Grabner's fourth goal of the season put Huntington North on the board in the first half. Jessica Rowe scored for Muncie Central.

Tester and Courtney Christle helped facilitate the Lady Vikings' scoring with an assist apiece.

Goalkeeper Paige Coolman made five saves for the complete game win.
